Steel Dynamics (NAS: STLD) reported earnings on July 23. Here are the numbers you need to know.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 9.5%, 380 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 5.4%, 370 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 2.3%, 240 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.95 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.20.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $8.06 billion. The average EPS estimate is $0.82.
