With the real world Olympic Games starting this month, it only makes sense that we'd see our favorite Facebook games launching features dealing with the event (after all, the summer Olympic Games only happen once every four years). First came the SImCity Championships in SimCity Social, and now comes the CityVille Games in CityVille. To begin, we'll celebrate the Opening Ceremonies of the CityVille Games in our towns by building the Ceremony Hall.

This event looks to last for the next month (33 days, to be exact), during which time we'll need to place and complete the Ceremony Hall by simply placing it in your town. That's right, this is one of those fantastic structures that doesn't require any crew or building materials to complete. However, that doesn't mean we haven't been given any work.

The Opening Ceremony allows you to fill out three teams of athletes for the games: Team Sports, Water Sports and Track and Field. To do that, you'll need to ask friends to help you earn RSVPs for the players on those teams until all three teams is full of four members each. Filling a specific team earns you a specific reward. Track and Field, for instance, rewards you with seven Zoning Permits, while Water Sports gives you 12 energy. Finally, Team Sports gives you a long jump decoration (shouldn't that have been the Track and Field prize?).

If you don't want to wait for your friends to help you gather RSVPs, you can also click on the "Build" buttons above to be taken to the store where you can build special themed businesses, homes and community buildings that will also reward you with RSVPs when you collect from them.

Completing all three of these teams actually upgrades the Ceremony Hall, and gets you one step closer to unlocking the Fiery Rose Statue for your town. This is the ultimate prize for this Opening Ceremony event, but it's possible that additional Olympics-themed events will launch in the game in the future.
