EPS came in at $0.87. The one earnings estimate compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.89 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.86 for Q3 were 2.4% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.84 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 75.8%, 340 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 55.4%, 330 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 38.0%, 270 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $80.9 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.86.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $317.0 million. The average EPS estimate is $3.27.
