EPS came in at $1.01. The 17 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $1.16 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.59 for Q3 were 3.3% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.61 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 70.9%, 240 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 10.9%, 170 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 11.9%, 170 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $319.9 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.29.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.23 billion. The average EPS estimate is $4.84.
