With the launch of CityVille Downtown, Premium Goods have become more important than ever, due to the launch of so many businesses that require Premium Goods to operate. While you can continue to use your Factory to generate Premium Goods as usual, you can now also increase your production of these special Goods by utilizing the new Packaging Facility that has launched this week.

The Packaging Facility (also called the Packaging Plant) will use regular Goods and turn them into Premium Goods within your Downtown Expansion. Its base takes 10 energy to build, and you'll then need to ask for building materials to actually finish it off.

You'll need the following:

  • 7 Factory Ducts
  • 7 Factory Fans
  • 7 Fuse Boxes
  • 7 Factory Lights
  • 7 Gas Tanks
  • 7 Factory Gates

Luckily, once you've completed the construction of the Packaging Facility, you'll be presented with a straightforward menu, allowing you to choose how many Goods you'd like to spend, relative to how many Premium Goods you'd like to receive in exchange and how long you'd like to wait to earn them. For instance, For 250 regular Goods, you can start a 12-hour job that will give you 170 Goods on the other side. This can be increased by asking up to six friends to join the job with you, with each adding another 170 Premium Goods to the final payout.

Sure, if you plan on working on these projects solo, you'll actually lose more Goods than you'll gain, but when you absolutely must have Premium Goods for your businesses, you now at least have one more way to go about getting them.
