Watch this dude play Angry Birds ... Minority Report-style [Video]
If you've yet to see Minority Report, take a breather this Friday, watch the that awesome movie and come back to this post to see what we mean. (Well, there's always this video.) Anyway, Belgian developer of gesture platforms for electronics, SoftKinetic, has released a video that displays the power of its motion controller for PCs with something everyone can relate to: Angry Birds.
The DepthSense DS311 camera is said to bring gesture-based controls similar to the Kinect for the Xbox 360 to PCs. And they look to be quite accurate, based on the video below. Well, more accurate in that the camera can sense gestures like pinching, but it might not be the most ideal way to play Angry Birds.
SoftKinetic claims that it can bring this type of control to any PC game without having to change the original experience. The Angry Birds will soon to enter near-zero gravity, have already mastered voice controls and have their own board game. Knowing that, where else can the little buggers go than here? There's no way that Rovio would pass something like this up.
Are you intrigued by this type of control over Angry Birds? How long do you think it will be until Rovio comes out with an official adaptation? Sound off in the comments. Add Comment.
