A Fifth Avenue penthouse has just hit the market for a cool $65 million -- making it the most expensive co-op on the market in New York City.

And it's no wonder. The remarkable, 12,000-square-foot digs belong to Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich, who has penned the lyrics to chart-topping songs for Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige and Mandy Moore, among others. In its living room sits a baby grand piano that Stevie Wonder once played, and it houses a personal recording studio that Celine Dion had once sung in, the New York Post reports.

The A-list-worthy digs, designed by Emery Roth, boasts seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, three kitchens, a grand salon, a billiard room, an in-home gym overlooking Central Park, and a library with a fireplace. It also includes a rooftop terrace that can hold up to 200 people, a wraparound terrace and a third outdoor terrace that the songwriter once coverted into a figure-skating rink for a party.

And then, there's the views. Stretching from Grand Army Plaza to Columbus Circle, all the way across Central Park, the New York City vistas are like postcards.

So why sell such a rare piece of real estate? Apparently, Rich is selling because it's "too much space for one woman." She told the Post that, now with her two daughters living in Europe, she plans to buy a smaller apartment and split her time between New York and overseas.

Bonnie Pfeifer Evans, Noble Black and Chazz Levi have the listing.
