Urstadt Biddle Properties Earnings Preview

Urstadt Biddle Properties (NYS: UBA) came in under analyst's estimates last quarter, but now have a chance to fix things this quarter. The company will unveil its latest earnings on Monday, Sept. 5. Urstadt Biddle Properties is a real estate investment trust which acquires, owns, and manages commercial real estate, mainly neighborhood and community shopping centers in the northeastern part of the United States.

What analysts say:

  • Buy, sell, or hold?: Half of analysts think investors should stand pat on Urstadt Biddle Properties while the remaining half rate the stock as a buy. Analysts like Urstadt Biddle Properties better than competitor Saul Centers overall. One out of three analysts rate Saul Centers a buy compared to two of four for Urstadt Biddle Properties. Analysts haven't adjusted their rating of Urstadt Biddle Properties for the past three months.
  • Revenue forecasts: On average, analysts predict $21.8 million in revenue this quarter. That would represent a decline of 0.3% from the year-ago quarter.
  • Wall Street earnings expectations: The average analyst estimate is earnings of $0.29 per share. Estimates range from $0.28 to $0.30.

CAPS All Stars are solidly backing the stock with 90.9% granting it an "outperform" rating. The majority of the Fools are in agreement with the All Stars as 72% give it an "outperform" rating. Fools have embraced Urstadt Biddle Properties, though the message boards have been quiet lately with only 10 posts in the past 30 days. Urstadt Biddle Properties' bearish CAPS rating of two out of five stars falls short of the Fool community sentiment.
