As the folks at Zynga like to say: "Ten-HUT!" It's time for a new update to launch in Empires & Allies, with this new event being called Battlefield Bonanza. If you're really in the mood for additional content, this event should please you, as it is being rolled out over two full days, as there's simply too much to release at once.

Today's initial update sees the launch of military units called "Thumper Artillery," which are basically super-charged tanks that also have a combat bonus against Tanks themselves. Talk about a heavy-hitter! Unfortunately, both of these Thumper Artillery units cost Empire Points, with two options being available for each, depending on whether you'd like to purchase just a single unit, or unlock the ability to build future items inside your Barracks forever.
  • Thumper Artillery - 100 Strength - Costs 5 Empire Points for a single unit; 40 Empire Points to unlock production
  • Elite Thumper Artillery - 200 Strength - Costs 15 Empire Points for a single unit; 120 Empire Points to unlock production

Phew! That's a lot to take in all at once, but essentially all you have to keep in mind is the fact that both of these units are incredibly powerful, but that "elite" status definitely doesn't come cheap. In addition to these military units, you can now also purchase a Growler Statue limited edition decoration from the store. It costs 10,000 coins, but (as of this writing) doesn't look to provide any special function other than looking pretty.

As for additional items, we've been told that some "experimental aircraft" will come out tomorrow, but one of them will launch through some form of mission. We'll make sure to look out for that mission and will let you know all about the aircraft once they officially launch, so keep checking back! You're dismissed!

Will you purchase either of these Thumper Artillery units? Will you unlock the ability to build them for life, or will you just purchase one or two of each? Sound off in the comments.
