Who Would Intern for Charlie Sheen? [Video]

Before you go, we thought you'd like these...

Charlie Sheen Intern Remember a few weeks ago when we told you that Charlie Sheen was looking for a "winning" intern with "Tiger Blood"? Well, more than 74,000 people from around the world applied, and Charlie's peeps have it narrowed down to 50 finalists. What kind of candidates was he seeking? We have information on one of these finalists.

Her name is Kathy Landin, she's 35 years old, and works as a freelance video producer in Urbandale, not far from Des Moines. She produces her own video-blog, called the "I'm an Idiot Show," which she uses to skewer current events and her own lot in life. Her winning application, which she submitted via the site Internships.com, included a 75-character micro-essay, an online application and a short video, in which she used the example of the local Mars Cafe as a business that makes the most of social media (see video below).

Of course she was skeptical of the whole endeavor at first. Landin told the Des Moines Register, "It said they were turning over the process to Team Sheen, which makes me take it all the more seriously," she said, half-joking. "I'm still waiting for someone to call and say 'The joke's on you,' like the producers of a reality TV show who take 50 people and stick them in a house in Santa Monica and make them fight over the job. Maybe it's all some kind of trick and nobody knows it yet."

If it's not a trick and Landin is selected, she'll get a paid, full-time internship this summer, helping the troubled star work his warlock magic via social media, texting, tweeting, blogging, etc. It's a taller order than it sounds -- Sheen recently set a Guinness World Record for being the fastest Twitter user to attract 1 million followers. She'll have to help defend his title as a world record breaking tweeter.

Landin told the Register reporter Michael Morain that she hopes she won't have to move to California for the entire summer if she wins the post. "I own a house. I have a lawn that needs to be mowed. I have cats."
