Guinness Store to Open in Las Vegas
Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, Guinness will open the company's first U.S. store in Las Vegas.
The 1,500-foot store is due open on March 17 in the Shoppes at Mandalay Place, located between the Mandalay Bay and Luxor on the Las Vegas Strip, reports USA Today.
The store will contain the largest selection of Guinness-branded items on sale outside of Ireland, including hats, shirts and customizable pint glasses.
There will also be a new 'Guinness On the Strip' clothing line for men and women.
"When researching destinations for the first Guinness Store in the U.S., Las Vegas immediately jumped out at us as a perfect fit," Guinness Brand Director Patrick Hughes tells the UK's Moodie Report newspaper. "We want to offer our customers and experience that they cannot find anywhere in the U.S., and this store will surely provide that experience."
Although you can't sample any beer at the store – try Ri Ra Irish Pub inside the Shoppes if you're thirsty – the store will feature an exhibit that explains the Guinness brewing process.
Guinness has been brewing Irish stout for over 250 years, and is one of the most popular beers worldwide.
