Funcom, the publisher and developer behind hardcore MMOs like Age of Conan and the upcoming Secret World, is working on yet another social game. Publisher 505 Games has enlisted the Oslo, Norway-based developer to create Fashion World Live. Set to release in Sept. 2011, Fashion World Live will allow players to partake in all sides of the fashion industry from design and modeling to makeup artistry and photography.

The two game companies have joined with IMG Fashion Worldwide in the game's creation. Funcom, traditionally an MMO developer, just recently entered the social gaming scene with Chess Attack. And Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom, appears optimistic toward its next social experiment:
Fashion World Live harnesses the established global community and reach of Facebook--and its endless networking capabilities--to enable millions of users to become part of the fashion industry. Fashion World Live is visually and functionally engaging and creates a unique online space for innovation.
According to 505 Games, Facebook fashionistas will be able to explore their creative talents, share ideas and collaborate to build digital fashion industry. "Fashion World Live gives fashion its voice in social media and truly reflects the style and ingenuity of the real world of fashion," says Fashion World Live creative director Pat McGrath. We'll refrain from passing judgment this early on, but we can't wait to see how it fairs against the current champion.
