Hotel Guest Tries Movie Stunt To Escape Police

A 35-year-old New Hampshire man is in the hospital after trying to escape from police by lowering himself out of his fourth-floor room using tied together bed sheets at the Hilton Garden Inn Manchester, N.H.

The failed escape artist, Jose B. Martinez, of Hooksett, N.H., was tracked down at the hotel by police who were looking for him because he was using his girlfriend's credit card without permission, reports the Union Leader

After police knocked on the door, Martinez tried to escape through the window, but he fell, breaking several bones.

Police said Demartinez is still recovering in the hospital and is facing several charges, including fraudulent use of a credit card and resisting arrest, reports WMUR.
