Lodging is a big part of any vacation budget. Fortunately, the hotel portion of your Walt Disney World vacation doesn't have to break the bank. Walt Disney World Resort Hotels spread across a wide price range, with several offerings in the budget category. Dozens of other budget properties can be found in the Orlando area. Here are some suggestions that might save you a few dollars.

Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground

Did you know that you can camp at Walt Disney World? The Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is a beautiful natural setting, with some 750 acres of pine and cypress. The Disney campground has 784 traditional sites with water, sanitary hookups, electricity hookups, internet and cable TV. Other partial sites include only water and electricity. Your pet is welcome at some campsites for $5/day. There's even a restaurant onsite-the Trail's End-but most people cook their own meals here. Best of all, the Walt Disney World theme parks are easily reached from Fort Wilderness via Disney boat and bus transportation.

Pop Century

Pop Century may be a Disney Value Resort, but that doesn't mean they've skimped on the fun. The buildings are covered in giant icons from the 20th century, with different sections showcasing the 1950s, '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s. You can't miss the giant rubix cube. The comfortable rooms are small, but workable, and most have two double beds. For kids, the biggest draws are the pools- a monitor-shaped Computer Pool, the flower-shaped Hippy Dippy, and even a pool shaped like a Bowling Pin. An onsite food court offers several dining options, including fast-food service and a bakery. You won't need your car, as Disney buses stop at Classic Hall, and run to all four parks. The rooms at this budget property start at an affordable $82/night.

All-Star Sports

This Disney Value Resort is dedicated to sports fans. Huge surfboards, balls, baseball bats and other sports paraphernalia cover the buildings. The sports theme continues in the interior décor. The rooms are small, but comfortable, and have two double beds so you can easily sleep four. Grand Slam and Surfboard Bay, the two onsite pools, are a popular attraction. Shops, an arcade, and the End Zone Food Court can be found at Stadium Hall. Disney buses can get you from the resort to the parks in style. Rooms start at $82/night.

All-Star Music

Rock n' roll, jazz, country and show tunes all play a part at All-Star Music. This Disney Value Resort celebrates all forms of music. Giant instruments adorn the 3-story buildings. This is the only Disney Value Resort that offers family suites. Each guest suite can sleep up to six guests, and has two bathrooms, a master bedroom and a kitchenette. A playground and the guitar-shaped Calypso Pool and piano-shaped Piano Pool help keep the little ones entertained. Guest rooms start at $82/night.

If you don't keep busy at the theme parks, the Regal Sun has two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court and fitness room. The Oasis Aquatic Playground has water cannons, a heated pool and hot tub.
