BBG Communications Airport Phone Rates Called a Scam

airport phoneHow would you like to get a $150 bill for a six-minute phone call from a pay phone? That's what some consumers have to deal with when making calls using a credit or debit card from airport telephones.

Consumer Ally contributor John "Investigative Guy" Mattes investigated complaints into BBG Communications, which controls pay phones at airports worldwide. What he found were outrageous rates that aren't disclosed and a lot of unhappy consumers.



Mattes was a longtime TV investigative consumer reporter in San Diego and Miami. He is also a practicing consumer lawyer and has gotten involved in a class action lawsuit filed against BBG.
