Oceans 808 is a classy, sophisticated club that aims for the older 20s crowd. They have a lanai for enjoying the warm Hawaiian nights and upbeat, popular dance music. Oceans 808 offers a sushi bar and a Hawaiian food (pupu) menu that is heavily discounted during happy hour, which runs 4:30-8PM Tuesday through Friday.

Although originally opened in Long Beach, California, the Yard House has made a place for itself in Honolulu, with a casual dining environment and classic rock music for atmosphere. The Yard House focuses on craft beers and their sliders are amazing and worth making the trip for by themselves.

Best deal: "Dig Me" Daiquiri in the Barefoot Bar for $7.75

Duke's was named for Hawaii's favorite son, Duke Paoa Kahanamoku, who swam for the U.S. in the Olympics for 20 years starting in 1911. The bar that is named for him follows his unique and carefree love of the ocean and its lifestyle. Duke's is not just for adults, they have a keiki (children) menu. On the lanai at Duke's -- the Barefoot Bar -- you can eat barefoot right on the beach and enjoy their "Dig Me" Daiquiri and the Lava Flow, both of which incorporate local fruit juices. They don't have any happy hour specials, but with a location on the sand and unique drink concoctions, it's definitely worth checking out.

Best deal: All martinis on the menu for $4

Indigo was opened by a Hawaiian man with deep roots in China. It's a very artistic place, with a relaxed Hawaiian atmosphere. They have all kinds of food, from Asian to French and, of course, Hawaiian. Happy hour in this restaurant in Honolulu is martini madness, with martinis discounted to $4 at the bar from 4-8PM Tuesday-Friday. They have dance parties and live music, so check their Web site for any upcoming events.

Best deal: Lychee martini and Li Hing Mui margarita for $4

Located at the Ward Centre, Ryan's is a full-service bar open all day for friendly, local fun. They have great pizzas and Jamaican jerk fries that are a must try, even if you're not into spicy foods. During happy hour, which runs 4:30-6:30PM and 10PM to close daily, the pupus are half off and drinks, including draft beers, house wine and specialty martinis, are $4.
