Slim-20 weight loss capsules recalled: Potentially unhealthy ingredientJ & H Besta Corp. is recalling one lot of its herbal diet supplement after U.S. Food and Drug Administration tests showed the weight-loss pill contained an undeclared appetite suppressant known to increase blood pressure and heart rate in some users.

Slim-20 Herb Supplement in 30-capsule bottles with the lot code 032009 contains undeclared N-desmethyl sibutramine and traces of sibutramine, says an FDA analysis. Sibutramine is the main ingredient in the prescription appetite suppressant Meridia.

So far, no illnesses or injuries have been reported to J & H Besta of Hicksville, N.Y. The product, marketed as a natural herb for weight loss, was sold nationwide and over the Internet. J & H Besta says it stopped distributing the lot and consumers who bought some should stop using it and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Consumers with questions can call the company at 516-735-1436 between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Eastern.
