Home Prices Rise for 4th Month in a Row, but Can It Last?

Not many Americans are feeling it yet, but we may be in the midst of a housing recovery. National home prices increased in May by 2.9 percent, as compared to May 2009, according to real estate information firm CoreLogic, making it the fourth straight month they have done so. But don't celebrate just yet; many experts believe we still are experiencing a bump due to the spring's federal homebuyer tax credit. And prices are still 28.5 percent below their April 2006 peak.
