Spirit Airlines cancelled all flights through Thursday, as a pilots strike continues.

According to The Associated Press, negotiators for the pilots union and airline are expected to meet with mediators, though it's unclear whether a deal is in the works.

The pilots walked out Saturday, in a dispute that centers on pay – the Spirit pilots say they are paid less than those flying for other discount carriers.

Spirit flies about 16,000 passengers per day, and many travelers were left stranded as the airline remained grounded. There were reports of people trying to rent cars and paying high last-minute fares. The carrier is offering full refunds on canceled tickets, and a $100 credit towards a future flight.

Sean Creed, the head of the pilot union at Spirit, told AP the National Mediation Board has asked both sides to meet in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. However, union officials said the strike would continue until they approve any deal.
