Food Network has announced what has got to be the ultimate cruise for foodies, an Eastern Caribbean sailing with Iron Chef Cat Cora and other TV food celebrities.

The one-week cruise is on the 2,850-passenger Celebrity Solstice embarking from Fort Lauderdale on Aug. 22. The Solstice just happens to have one of the prettiest dining rooms on the high seas, designed by Adam Tihany (Le Cirque) and featuring a striking two-deck high glass wine tower.

This is the inaugural sailing for "Food Network at Sea," and joining Cora onboard will be Chef Aaron Sánchez of Chefs vs. City.

The TV network is promising invitation-only access to special events, hands-on cooking classes (led by Food Network Kitchens Executive Chef Robert Bleifer), cooking demonstrations by Cora and Sanchez and more. There will even be an exclusive BBQ party on the ship's half-acre grass Lawn Club, as well as a chef's competition.

Those booking the Food Network trip will also enjoy "star" treatment including priority check-in and access to the Food Network VIP Hospitality Lounge and Screening Room and in-cabin access to the Food Network TV channel during the cruise.

The 7-night cruise will visit San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

"If you have a passion for food, fun and travel, this culinary adventure is sure to create lasting lifetime memories!" said Iron Chef Cat Cora. Chef Aarón Sánchez added, "Join me in the beautiful Caribbean and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience...I can't wait!"

Plans are underway to offer a range of additional exclusive Food Network travel programs in 2010 and 2011. These experiences will include other trips with Food Network stars, and trips tied into specific Food Network culinary trends or topics, the network said.
