San Francisco Rental: Nob Hill 1BR for $1,525

Before you go, we thought you'd like these...
You might not know this, but the Nob Hill neighborhood of San Francisco was completely destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. Some sarcastically call it "Snob Hill" due to the number of young urban professionals who live here and work downtown. This is a great neighborhood to live in if you like the complete urban-living experience, with plenty of shops and cafes as your disposal.

Union Square is mere blocks away, as well as Chinatown and North Beach. Nob Hill is also easy to get around with the Powell Street cable car traversing the neighborhood and BART and buses close by.

This one-bedroom/one-bathroom Nob Hill apartment is on the 5th floor of an Edwardian-style building.

So what do you get for $1,525?
The apartment at 999 Bush St., #505 is a one-bedroom unit with such niceties as hardwood floors, a modern kitchen with a spanking-new gas range, refrigerator and lots of cabinet space. It boasts a tile-floor bathroom with a shower over a tub. And you can bring your dogs and cats because pets are allowed.

So how does $1,525 compare to other one-bedroom apartments in Nob Hill? It's pretty reasonable. If you look hard enough you can find apartments for $1,295, but they can run as high as $3,000. So know you are getting a good deal with this one.

But since it's available now maybe they're desperate and you can haggle.
