San Francisco Rental: 1BR Apartment in Central Castro, $1,795

Before you go, we thought you'd like these...
The Castro District is the most faaaaabulous neighborhood in San Francisco. It's vibrant and celebrates diversity, plus it's home to the best cinema on earth at the Castro Theater. The Castro does its many Rainbow flags proud with many great restaurants, stores, coffee shops and bars for all types of folks, gay and straight.

We may have found the perfect, one-bedroom, one-bathroom Castro apartment you've been looking for. You want hardwood floors? It has them. You want a central locale? It's got that. You want garage parking? Well ... OK it doesn't have that. But you can read on to find out more about what this one-bedroom does have going for it ...
The apartment's at 138 Eureka St. That puts you three blocks from the heart of the Castro, while still being tucked away in a quiet neighborhood between 18th and 19th Streets.

This first floor apartment has hardwood floors in the living and dining areas and new carpeting in the bedroom. The bedroom also has huge bay windows for plenty of light, and the bathroom has both a tub and shower (not always a given). You can enjoy a nice meals in your eat-in kitchen.

If you have a car, it could be a nightmare because street parking in this area is tough and there's no garage. But on the upside, you are close to the MUNI station and bus lines.

So how does $1,795 rate for a one bedroom in the Castro? It's not a bad deal. If you shop around you could find places for around $1,500 but they could also run as steep as $2,200 a month -- depending on where its situated. Do a little shopping around, but the price is more or less right down the middle.
