This one bedroom, one bathroom apartment is steps to the ocean on a charming Manhattan Beach street. So in other words: This is a picture-perfect way to live in Southern California. You can wake up and meander to the nearby Manhattan Pier, or else head to the downtown area in minutes for dinner or drinks. Not only is Manhattan Beach a nice beach town, it's also one of the premier surfing spots in the world so year round you can either shred it up, or watch the worlds best do their thing blocks from your home.

This apartment definitely has a great location going for it, but it's got something else as well: the rent includes utilities so you can save your green for morning coffee at The Local Yolk, which, I highly recommend.

In the area around Manhattan Beach last month, one-bedroom rentals went for an average of $1,800. This one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment is well below the average rent and is spacious with 1,070 square feet. And what's better, with most apartments you have to add on a few hundred a month (at least) for utilities, but with this one it's all included: Internet, gas, electric, cable, sewer, water and garbage. Just pay $1,400 in rent and that's it.

The apartment's listing shows the beautiful exterior of this Manhattan Beach property but no interior shots, so you have to email for more pictures. The building is pet friendly and it comes with a parking spot, both of which can be hard to find. The unit has carpet in some rooms, as well as mini-blinds throughout and marble tops in the bathroom. And while mention of the words vinyl and Formica in the kitchen might have you concerned, the price and location suggest that this is a property worth looking into.

If you want to live in a beach city, Manhattan Beach has a lot going for it: a charming downtown with lots to do, one of the world's best beaches and just a short drive to Los Angeles.

Just $1,400 for rent and all utilities, including Internet and cable. That, my friends, is a sweet rental.
