Pet Society Poo Guide: Plain, Golden, Rainbow -- How to Collect Them All
There are three different types of poo that your pet can produce. There's the normal poo, golden poo and the holy grail of them all, the rainbow poo. Take note that your pet can only produce poo at your pet's home and not anywhere else.
Pet Society allows your pet to produce and keep a maximum of three normal poo. If you already have a total of three normal poo in your house or chest your pet will not produce anymore poo, this includes the golden or rainbow poo. However, if you would like to have more than three normal poo, poo can be gifted to you from friends, which will allow you to carry more than three. There is a maximum of 99 regular poos that your pet can own, this includes the total in your home and chest.
In order to make your pet poo your pet needs to have low hygiene and above average happiness and health. This means your pets hygiene blue meter must be below 50% and your pet's happiness and health meter must be above 50%. Basically, don't wash your pet but keep your pet well fed and well brushed. You will notice flies surrounding your pet as your hygiene meter goes down, but don't worry the flies will not harm your pet.
After you have met the necessary meter requirements you simply have to wait for your pet to poo. Making your pet poo is a completely random event and you can't force your pet to do it. It's been said that clicking on your pet may quicken your chances of producing poo, since clicking on your pet changes your pet's actions, but in my experience the best way is to wait for it to happen. You will know your pet is about to do the deed when your pet starts wiggling and squinting their eyes, after these sequence of events your pet will pause for a split second and then poo. You'll notice the poo on the ground as your pet walks or runs away.
When your pet does poo it is important not to panic and click on it the first time you see it. When you click on poo it disappears forever, and you are rewarded a small monetary amount leaving you no choice but to wait for the event to happen again. Clicking on a normal poo rewards you one coin, if you click on a golden poo you're rewarded 10 coins and if you dare click on a rainbow poo you will be rewarded 20 coins.
If you'd rather move your poo, simply open your chest and use the hand cursor to drag it either inside your chest or wherever you would want it placed in your home. If poo is placed on top of an item like a table or shelf, clicking on it will not make it disappear. Poo can only disappear if clicked on while it's on the floor. This is also important to know because having your pet produce the golden or rainbow poo is such a rare event that you don't want to accidentally click on it by mistake.
If you're really desperate to have a golden or rainbow poo and don't have the patience to wait for your pet to make one, you can head over to the pet society trading forums and trade for one. When the golden and rainbow poo was first introduced, Pet Society was going through a poo frenzy, everyone wanted to get a hold of one. The item was such a hot commodity that hackers even cloned them which angered traders because it depreciated the trading value of the rainbow poo from a whopping 20x4999 items down to 1x999 item. Eventually Pet Society fixed the cloning issue and removed any additional golden poo or rainbow poo that players had in their possession which made the value rise again.
The goal of making your pet poo is to one day make your pet achieve the golden or rainbow poo. Once you're used to the sight of your pet making a bunch of normal poo, you will then want your pet to produce the golden or rainbow poo. Making your pet poo takes a lot of waiting and patience, for some people it's hard to not wash their pet especially when they start seeing flies circling their pet's head. I'm already used to the sight of flies -- it's worth it because I know some day he'll make me one happy pet owner by making a rainbow poo. Until then, I'll just have to keep reminding myself not to click on it when it happens.
