Mmm, Delicious! Top 5 Food-Related Time Management Games

Before you go, we thought you'd like these...
If you've played any time management games (usually played by clicking on items and assigning them to actions in order to meet goals in a given number of minutes) on our site, chances are you've played at least one of these following games. The best time management games, I've found, revolve around food -- maybe it's because the genre is conducive to the food service industry, or maybe it's because well, who doesn't love food?

Here are the top five food-related time management games you can play right now on Games.com!

Burger Shop

The story: A burger machine from space lands in your restaurant, spitting out patties, buns, cheese and assorted fast food goods. Your job? Rush to assemble customer's orders as fast as you can.

Our take: Burger Shop is super addictive and easy to learn. It gets hectic once the range of items available opens up, but isn't that the fun of time management games?

Papa's Pizzeria

The story: Take customers' pizza orders, build pizzas, cook them in the oven, then slice them perfectly. If this sounds easy, you're crazy.

Our take: The best part about this game is the fact that you can arrange pizza topping manually when you're building each order. Wouldn't it be great if you could order pizzas in real-life this way? Papa's Pizzeria is very well done, even if occasionally you find yourself overcooking pies or slicing them up incorrectly.

Delicious: Emily's Tea Garden

The story: Poor Emily wants to open her own tea garden, but in order to raise the money for it, she'll have to bust her butt for a host of other people's restaurants.

Our take: Emily's Tea Garden is one of the easier time management games we've played (at least in the first few levels). Because most of the actions only involve single clicks, and no dragging items/objects to different areas, it's not too difficult to complete orders and satisfy customers. That said, it's still very entertaining - and chances are it'll get more difficult as we progress.

Diner Dash: Flo on the Go

The story: Flo hits the road for 'vacation' - which somehow still involves waiting tables! Someone tell this chick to take a break, already.

Our take: Although all of the Diner Dash games play the same way, we like this one for its more varied restaurants. As usual, you'll need to drag customers to tables, take their orders, bring them food and pick up checks. It's simple, but fun new music and graphics (plus new outfits for Flo!) will keep you coming back.

Cake Mania 3

The story: Bad luck, indeed! It's Jill's wedding day, but she gets transported back through time to the age of dinosaurs to ancient Egypt and more -- it's a mess she'll have to cake-bake her way out of.

Our take: Again, a totally wacky story, but sure - we'll go along with it! Cake Mania is a little tedious, mostly because each action (baking a cake, frosting it, making tea, etc) seems to take slightly too long to finish. But it's definitely different than the other games we've looked at - you'll have to judge the shape of each cake and the type of frosting needed in order to complete orders.
